Mr. DeTurris began his jouney in aviation on Long Island in 2006 when he first soloed out of Brookhaven Calabro Airport, still a junior in High School. In 2008, he took his passion for aviation to the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. Over the next six years he completed his undergrad studies in Flight Operations, earned his Commercial/Multi and received an MBA degree. After completing grad school, he decided to transition to the business side of Aviation and moved back to Long Island. In 2015  he joined the ExcelAire team under Keith Ruggirello and in 2016 he started to consistently attend LIBAA meetings and outings. Over the next seven years he climbed into a Charter Sales Role and reported directly to the Sr VP, Chris Curtin. In the summer of 2023, ExcelAire was sold by its parent company and he decided to explore the job market. After an extensive interview process, he joined Dassault Falcon Jet where he currently work as a Sales Manager for new aircraft, covering the Northeast U.S.
