President Donald Trump is scheduled to arrive on Air Force One at Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton on Friday morning at 11:50 a.m., according to a statement issued by the White House Press Office.
According to Blair Ellis, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, Mr. Trump is attending a fundraising luncheon with RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on Friday afternoon. Ms. Ellis noted that the event will support the Trump Victory Committee, a joint fundraising effort for Mr. Trump’s 2020 campaign and the RNC.
Citing sources, Bloomberg reported Tuesday that the fundraiser will be at the Southampton estate of Manhattan developer Howard Lorber, who was a Trump campaign adviser in 2016 and is executive chairman of Nathan’s Famous Inc., the hot dog company.
Earlier this week officials from the Suffolk County Republican Committee said that Mr. Trump will be attending a private event on the island, but provided no additional information on the president’s schedule while on the East End.
Chris Boyle, the campaign communications director for U.S. Representative Lee Zeldin, declined to share any information on Tuesday regarding the president’s visit to the South Fork.
The director of regional communications at the White House, Vanessa Morrone, would not provide any further information on Tuesday afternoon, noting only that it would be “an open press arrival” at Gabreski.
